The Rivers State Governorship candidate of Action Alliance, Dr Dawari Ibietela George has congratulated all citizens and residents of Rivers State on the 2023 new year celebration. The felicitation was contained in his New Year message to the people of the State where he joined the people to appreciate God for the gift of the new year despite the challenges of the out gone year, 2022. He stated that 2023 opens the door of limitless opportunities for the entire people to chart the course of a peaceful and prosperous Rivers State.
The Governorship candidate of Action Alliance further explained that the year 2023 offers the citizens of the State the “opportunity to hire and fire their leaders”, which he said is the power the electorates have over the political class in defining the course of society. Dr George observed that there is excitement among the citizenry over the opportunity to exercise their franchise to elect leaders of their choice irrespective of political affiliation.
The governorship hopeful and frontline candidate therefore urged the people to vote for character rather than might, and competence over patronage in order to build a Rivers State of their collective dream and aspiration.
Dr. George expressed optimism that the votes of the people will count so that the will of the people will prevail over all forces of repression.
