The immediate past governor of Taraba state, Danbaba Danfulani Suntai is dead.
Suntai, died wednesday at his residence in Orlando Florida, United States of America where he was recuperating from the injuries he sustained in a plane crash on 25th of October, 2012.
He was governor of the state from 2007 to 2015 and the news of his death threw Jalingo and indeed the entire state into mourning.
He was regarded as the architect of the modern Taraba due to his focus on infrastructural development which changed the face of the state from a rural state to a fledging state.
