The news of the passing of Chief Fidelis Obi Odili, elder brother of former governor of Rivers State, Dr. Peter Odili, has hit the airwaves. Africa Update was reliably informed that many prominent Nigerians have visited the former Governor to commiserate with him over the demise of his elder brother.
While details about the death of the elder statesman remain sketchy at the time of this report, dignitaries have besieged the Port Harcourt residence of former Governor Odili whose reign as Governor between 1999 and 2007, led to the development of communities in the State, to offer their condolences to the bereaved family.
