A business mogul Eze Sir Mike Elechi has been inaugurated as the 62nd president of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture PHCCIMA.
Sir Mike Elechi who was inaugurated in a glamorous Inauguration and Investiture Dinner held in Port Harcourt had in attendance great dignitaries drawn from every sector in the state.
In his address, Elechi said that his administration will set a new course for the next 3 years and focus on three broad fundamental areas which include member oriented and inclusive programmes and opportunities, increased scope of programme dispensation and internally generated revenue (IGR) and finally the consolidation of growth, peace and oneness of members.
The newly inaugurated president stated that he sees PHCCIMA as an embodiment of corporate and commercial exposure that helps members improve their businesses. He therefore pledged to uphold the virtues of patience, openness and equity.
Chairman of the occasion Chief Fedinard Alabraba, chairman, Rivers Elder Forum hailed the newly elected president for his wealth of experience and expressed confidence in his ability to take PHCCIMA to a higher level. He however urged the new administration to also consider education and support for SMEs.
Similarly, the former President of the Nigerian Bar Association O.C.J. Okocha in his goodwill message described Eze Sir Mike Elechi as a patriot that has invested in commerce and industry in his locality which has impacted the community and state positively.
The newly inaugurated exco members include Dr. Chinyere Nwogu, Hon. Prince Charles Beke, Surv. Emmanuel Ogbonda, Sir Dan Harrison, Uche Onochie and Engr. Godwin Etim. While council members are, Okey Ordu, Florence Nwosibe, Engr. Emeka Ezekwe, Chief Ernest Elochuku and Barr. Innocent Amah.
