The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), today ratified the suspension of Governors of Imo and Ogun states, Rochas Okorocha and Ibikunle Amosun.
The National Working Committee (NWC) revealed that the governors were suspended over anti-party activities.
An inside source said the leadership merely ratified the suspension of the duo during the NWC meeting at the party’s secretariat following the earlier pronouncement by the states party’s working committee earlier this year over their supports for governorship candidates on the platform of other political parties.
Confirming the suspension, the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Mallam Lanre Isaa-Onilu, said the Minister of Niger Delta, Usani, Usani Uguru, and the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu were also suspended.
