Another popular market has gone up in flames less than a week after the Mile 3 market at the Diobu axis of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, in Rivers State got razed by fire. This time, the fire broke at the plank shed market at Marine Base, in the same local government area.
The fire, according to some victims who spoke to Africa Update, occured late last night. The value of the wreckage was difficult to ascertain at the time of this report, but eyewitnesses disclosed that it could run into several millions. There are also speculations that an electrical fault may have sparked the fire.
