The acting general manager, public relations, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)  Sam Adurogboye, has announced the suspension of three pilots  for allegedly consuming alcohol before operating their flights.
Addressing newsmen in Lagos on Friday  about the decision of NCAA, Adurogboye disclosed that the pilots whose actions  contravened existing Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs),  have been mandated to undergo psychiatric evaluation before rejoining the service.
The pilots have also been placed on three month suspension and their licenses withdrawn.
Adurogboye urged airline operators to adhere to existing aviation laws to ensure safety of passengers.
