Youths in their hundreds embarked on protest in the early hours of Wednesday, October 17, 2019 demanding for the immediate payment of contractors by the Presidential Amnesty Office.
Africa Update gathered that delegates of the Ezonebi training centre had taken to the streets over the non-payment of their coordinator, Enetimi Evah Ezonebi, despite the completion of jobs since June 10, 2019.
They called on President Muhammadu Buhari, National Security Adviser (NSA) and the DSS to instruct Professor Charles Dokubo to make payments to their coordinator for the six months training programme they attended in Lagos State.
Stating that at the graduation ceremony which held in Lagos on June 2019, they were awarded cash gifts, but they are yet to receive the gifts as a result of the non-payment of the contractor.
They warmed that they would return to the creeks if their demands are not met urgently .
