A lawmaker who was kidnapped at gunpoint on December 30, 2017, by gunmen who were on motorcycles, Â is dead.
The corpse according to reports was found on Monday afternoon at Kwari, along Takum – Kashimbilla road.
The lawmaker was said to have been kidnapped when he visited Takum community in Taraba State for the Christmas celebration.
The victim, Â Hosea Ibi, was a member of the Taraba State House of Assembly representing Takum 1 constituency.
Police spokesman in the state, David Misal, confirmed the incident to newsmen,  while the Taraba State governor, Darius Ishaku, said he has been devastated by the death.
