Port Harcourt, Nigeria — The Rivers State Government has publicly praised the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation for its extensive humanitarian services, specifically highlighting its free medical missions for the underprivileged. This commendation was delivered by Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, represented by his deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu, during the 44th Free Medical Mission’s official opening ceremony in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area.
During her speech, Governor Fubara’s representative, Professor Odu, pledged the state government’s unwavering commitment to partner with the foundation to enhance the accessibility and affordability of quality healthcare for all citizens of Rivers. “Living in good health is truly transformational,” she said, emphasizing that healthy individuals are more productive and can contribute meaningfully to the growth of society.

The foundation’s chairman, Dr. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs, reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to providing free medical care to those who cannot afford it. She called for stronger collaboration among the private sector, individuals, and development partners to ensure that quality healthcare is accessible to everyone. The event was attended by several high-profile guests, including the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, and the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu.
