A joint session of Congress has reconvened to certify US President Elect, Joe Biden’s win after pro Trump rioters stormed US Capitol to disrupt the process that would authenticate the Electoral College votes.
Supporters of President Donald Trump, had breached one of the most iconic American buildings, engulfing the nation’s capital in chaos after Trump allegedly urged his supporters to fight against the ceremonial counting of the electoral votes that will confirm President-elect Joe Biden’s win.
With the attack, most Senators who had earlier vowed to stop the mandatory confirmation of the votes by the joint session of Congress, withdrew from the plan, leaving members of the House of Representatives without the required signature to upturn the results from the Electoral College.
