The Rivers State Police Command says it has commenced investigation into the gruesome murder of Elder Macauley Pepple, the father of the Executive Director, Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency, (RSSDA), Ama-Senibo Larry Pepple.
Speaking to newsmen, the Spokesman of the Command, Nnamdi Omoni, Â said the commissioner of police, Zaki Ahmed has ordered the immediate deployment of security operatives to Ererekiri and Otobie communities in Bonny Local Government Area, of the State to assist the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area, CSP. David O. Okoro in the investigation.
Recall that unknown gunmen had on Wednesday, Â May 17, invaded these communities, where about four people including Elder Pepple, aged 76 was murdered.
Our source disclosed that the gunmen had taken two youths hostage, who allegedly took them to the houses of their victims. The youths, Kobiri God’spower (M) aged 25 and Emelia God’spower (F) aged 15, were however killed , including Adolphus Hitler Pepple aged 73.
The gunmen were said to have shot sporadically to enable them escape from the community.
