Rivers LGA elections: Chidi Lloyd breaks the ice

Former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and the incoming Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Chidi Llyod, has reacted to his emergence as a Council Chairman. Lloyd, expressed his feelings shortly after recieving the Certificate of return from the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission.

His words: I am very grateful to the over 93970 who voted for me, those who contributed in many ways in the running of our successful campaign, and those at home and abroad who expressed confidence in me and the Peoples Democratic Party Government. I thank you all.I can assure that you will see Emohua Local Government great again. We will consolidate on our fundamental areas of securing the local Government, reviving the infrastructure & Security system, as stated in our campaign, will be added, to the good things we plan for Emolgans.

Thanks to the voters in Emohua who voted to elect me as your Chairman for three years. I am deeply humbled and profoundly grateful to you for judging me worthy to serve you and for your peaceful conduct.In particular, I would like to thank Hon John Wokoma for his masterful leadership as chairman of the Campaign Council. I would like to also thank the Party Chairman Hon Uche Minikwu , and Peoples democratic Party Emohua PDP Caucus, led by Chief Paul Wonodi and all members of the local Government Council and other various Support Groups.I would like to commend our security agencies, as severely overstretched as they are, for handling the difficult task of securing the local Government during the election period.Thank you all and may God bless EMOLGANS
