Eschew armchair criticism, Nsirim tasks media practitioners

Media practitioners have been advised to eschew armchair criticism and focus on constructive criticism. Commissioner of Information and Communications in Rivers State, Paulinus Nsirim, gave the charge, at a luncheon with media executives on December 18. Nsirim observed that the media has played a positive role in the advancement of the achievements of the Wike led administration. He said the state has become a major player in National politics because of the ingenuity of the Governor.

“Wike has placed God first, and he is passionate about developing Rivers State. He has made the state his first choice”. He noted that Governor Nyesom Wike has been able to achieve the development of several parts of the state, despite the coronavirus and the economic downturn, because he is a prudent manager of resources. ” Covid 19 has become an excuse for failure and non performance. Despite the Covid, Wike has continued to develop the state.. When critics don’t have what to say, they accuse Wike of concentrating development in the city centre”.
