The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Nwanosike, has banned motorcycles from operating at night in one of the largest local governments in Rivers State.
The chairman’s directive was contained in a statement by his press secretary, Chris Omodu.

According to the statement, the ban takes effect immediately and is effective from 7 pm to 6 am daily.
He also charged security agencies to execute the order with immediate effect and without compromise.
