The Minister for Budget and National Planning, Senator Udo Udoma has revealed that the Federal Government is ready to commence the immediate disbursement of funds for capital projexts. Speaking during the public presentation of the 2016 budget, which was signed last Friday by President Muhammadu Buhari stated that projects that are ready for immediate execution would be funded by the Ministry of Finance.
The minister said, “We are ready to kick-start the implementation of the budget and by tomorrow (Friday), some releases will be made for capital projects that are ready for execution.The Federal Government had hinted last week that about N350bn was earmarked for capital projects in the 2016 budget.
