The Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State, has approved the commencement of sale of forms for the proposed Local Government Council elections in the state.
A press Statement signed by the State Secretary, Samuel J. Okpoko, states that Adhoc delegates form is sold for N3,000, Expression of interest form for councillorship is N20,000 and Nomination form for councillorship is N50,000.
While Expression of interest form for Chairmanship is N100,000, nomination of interest form for chairmanship is N250,000, nomination form for women is however free.
Africa Update further gathered that all aspirants are expected to pay the stipulated amount into the party’s account at any branch of Sterling bank between Monday, March 26, 2018 to Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
Aspirants are also advised by the statement to collect their forms on presentation of the bank’s teller at the Party Secretariat at 23 Aba Road, in Port Harcourt.
