…confident of More Development in Education Sector

The acting Vice-Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, has congratulated His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on his successful assumption of office as the executive governor of River State.
Prof. Onuchuku, felicitated the governor shortly after he took the oath of office and allegiance as the number one citizen of Rivers State at the Yakubu Gowon stadium.
He was confident that the governor would bring the administrative competencies he had acquired over the years as a civil servant to bear on the state to reposition its fortunes.
Prof. Onuchuku was hopeful that the governor would consolidate on the gains made by the immediate past governor of the state, His Excellency, Nyesom Wike, to move the state to a new level.
As an educationist, Prof. Onuchuku expressed confidence that the new administration would build more infrastructure for teaching, learning and research, as well as bring more development to the tertiary education sector in the state.
He was also certain that emphasis would be made more on quality assurance at all levels of education to strengthen good quality education in Rivers State.
The Vice-Chancellor commended former governor Wike for finishing very well, adding that the transformation he has brought to the state is a solid foundation for sustainable development.
The erudite Professor of Economics noted that the development that the past administration has put in place meets the needs of the present without compromising the future generation from meeting with their own needs.
He wished the former governor well in his future endeavours, asserting that he had written his name in gold in the state
