A Rivers State High Court has ordered the immediate discontinuation of the ongoing membership revalidation and registration exercise by the All Progressives Congress in the State.
Delivering judgement in a suit filed by Obulor Messiah and Oha Mgbechikwere, the presiding Judge, Justice O. Ben-Whyte, granted an Experte Order restraining the APC, Mai Mala-Buni the National Caretaker Committee Chairman, Isaac Ogbobula, from taking any further steps to conduct membership registration exercise in Rivers state pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice for Interlocutory Injunction.
The court also ordered that the originating processes and all other processes be served on the Defendants/Respondents at at the Respondent’s Secretariat at N0. 63 Aba road Port Harcourt. The matter is adjourned to February 25, 2021 for motion for Interlocutory injunction.
