Producers of fake automotive lubricants arrested in Diobu (Picture)

Four suspects, identified as Onyema Ugochukwu (38 years), Okiri Godbless (31 years), Ogbonna Emmanuel (19 years) and Okubo-Ebi Ugochukwu (18 years), have been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly producing fake Engine oil and other automotive lubricants such as gear oils, bearing and circulating system oils amongst others.

Parading the suspects at the scene of the crime, Police Public Relations Officer SP Nnamdi Omoni said men of the state Criminal Investigation Department, CID;  stormed their illegal factory site at Abel Jumbo street at Mile 2 Diobu, in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, following a tip off.

Onyema Ugochukwu, who doubles as the manager of the illegal enterprise, said products were bought in large quantities from Imo state and sold to unsuspecting retailers. 

Other items recovered include 12.5kg gas cylinder,One gallon of sulfuric acid  and half bag of bleaching earth chemical.
