Nursing mothers at the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMSH), in Port Harcourt disrupted activities at the hospital this morning, Â to decry the deplorable state of the hospital which allegedly led to the death of a baby in an incubator yesterday.
A nursing mother disclosed to Africa Update that patients have been exposed to more health risk due to lack of electricity supply and shortage of water. Revealing further that children collapse due to lack of ventilation and babies in incubators  die as a result of irregular electricity.
She called on the Rivers State Government to urgently intervene to prevent maternal and child mortality.
Another relative of a patient at the hospital, stated that her sister who was on life support died this morning, after struggling throughout the night, due to lack of electricity.
