The Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA and leader of APC Degema Local Government Area, Dr. Sokonte Hutton Davies, says the All Progressives Congress, APC, is ready to move to the next phase of the political peak.
In an exclusive chat with Africa Update in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, Davies said, ‘Fortunately, the party congresses and convention happened in the peak of the political season.
‘These are the first stages of the peak. The second stage of the peak is when the party begins to choose candidates and the third stage of the peak is when we go into the campaign and the fourth stage is when we go for election’.
On speculations about the authenticity of the party structures in the state, he said insinuations about the party structures at the ward, local government and state levels have been put to rest with the active participation of those disgruntled members in the just concluded national convention.
He affirmed the readiness of APC to wrestle power from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the scheduled elections .
