The Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State  command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, has confirmed the assassination of a lawmaker representing Orelope constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly and a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ,  Hon. Gideon Aremu .
According to our source, the gunmen trailed the lawmaker to his residence in Egbeda Local Government Area of the state and shot him severally on Friday night.
He was the Chairman, state House of Assembly Committee on Information, Public Relations and Security
