Rivers Police vows to expose Top politicians as sixteen cultists name sponsors

The Rivers State Police Command has vowed to prosecute top politicians named as sponsors of cultists in the state.

The police spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni warned that the police will not succumb to demand for the release of sixteen cultists, suspected to be members of the De Gbam cult group, despite pressure from politicians .

According to him, “The boys have mentioned names and we are working with the information we have gotten from them.

“Some people are asking that we release them but we will not budge. You can be rest assured that anybody that is found culpable will be arrested and the law will take its course.”

Omoni reiterated that the State Police Command was determined to conclude investigation on the suspects, arrest other collaborators and prosecute those indicted.

 Recall that  detectives attached to the IGP Intelligence Unit intercepted sixteen suspected cultists on their way from Etche to Okrika, for onward operation in Tai Local Government Area for cult activities.
