Kafanchan protest: Perpetrators will be brought to book El-Rufa’i

Kafanchan (Kaduna State) — Gov. Nasir El-Rufa’i of Kaduna State has vowed to bring to book perpetrators of the protest that led to the destruction of property in Kafanchan metropolis.

El-Rufa’i who spoke on Tuesday at the Emir of Jema’a’s palace after inspecting the extent of destruction, said the dastardly act must not be allowed to continue.

He told the Emir to caution the people, especially the youths, against engaging in criminal acts as doing so could attract the wrath of the law.

He said government would launch full investigation into the matter with a view to fishing out those behind it to serve as deterrent to those nursing the same ambition.

Responding, the Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, commended the government for the prompt deployment of security operatives that nipped the crisis in the bud.

Muhammadu urged the people to live in peace with one another irrespective their differences.
