Evo Kingdom is over 1218 years old. A Kingdom made of 33 communities within, currently on the map of Rivers State of Nigeria. Covering13.09 Square Kilometres with an estimated 1.7m people. Their major occupation are farming, fishing and real estate with a cumulative networth of over #17 trillion
When in 2013 the ball rang, the trees flung their leaves in ecstatic relish of the moments. Little did the birds know that the gung which they’re hearing is from a town cryer which literally welcomes the installation of a new king.
At the noise of the moment the whispering early morning birds flew around in Woji town in their numbers singing with joy of seeing the early morning sun which gives them hope of a new life which nature has thought them.
The jubilant birds see men in joyful mood too, they joined man to welcome the new, Eze Woji XII and King of Evo Kingdom. It was a moment of great celebration within and around the Kingdom.
Installation of Kings(Eze’s) in Ikwerre land takes place very early in the morning with seven Canon shots and the first listeners before the canon shots are birds ? who woke early too.
Here comes the king of an ancient hegemonic people of 33 distinct communities made up of great men and women. Warrior’s in their own right.
Resilient species under the sun that can’t be conquered by anyone or nations.
Evo mekaa weeh, Evo mekaa weeh from the crowd of elders, owhor holders and chiefs rent the air with loud voices that awoke the serene environment of peace loving Woji inhabitants.
It was the beginning of the reign of a new king servant whose conviction that royalty is service to humanity is unparalleled.
Eze Woji XII, Nye-we-eli Woji, Nyerisi Oro-Evo,
Eze Oha Evo 111, Eze Gbakagbaka of Evo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Leslie Nyebuchi Eke. Ph.D. JP.
Since then the Kingdom has literally witnessed systematic growth in all it’s ramifications.
A noiseless King, silent achiever, character moulder, bridge builder, motivator of youths, talent hunter extraordinary, social mixer per excellence, creative thinker, a visioner, a dedicated loving husband and father.
Evo Kingdom is at the verge of a new dawn through pragmatic traditional leadership.
Many underestimate his resolve to bring back the glory of Evo people through developmental ideas. Because of his unassuming nature. He is grossly misunderstood, but the royal blue blood that flows in his vains won’t allow him watch the socio-economic strangulation of Evo man go unchallenged as he is ever battle ready to defend his kingdom. It may be diplomatically but with a steel heart for confrontation if the need arise. Hence many is unaware of his superlative achievements within the period under review.
Going close to him, you will feel the royal inner tears of a worried king whose heart is unquestionable in pains for Evo emancipation.
He has the information about Evo economic environment in his finger tips. His desire to leverage on this knowledge needs total commitment by all Evo people.
His humble disposition to life gives him the stability, a heart large enough to accommodate all sheds of ideas as long as it is about Evo Renaissance.
His only problem is seeing his people bonding together in love for greater Evo Kingdom.
His majesty love for peace, orderliness and collective progress of Evo people can be felt through his thoughts.
A detribalized citizen of humanity whose throne is recognised beyond the Niger.
An internationally acclaimed natural leader. An astute manager of human and resources. A positive influencer of our generation with superb emotional intelligence.
In his words and I quote
“A Palace surrendered by hungry and unhealthy people is a Palace of misery. But a Palace surrendered by happy and healthy people is a Palace of joy, a beacon of hope and a shelter of love.
I will work hard for the later because God will ask me about the service I rendered to my people while on the throne and I will gladly show Him my Creator how happy and healthy my people were when I reigned over them”
HRM L N. Eke.
With the above statement I’m convinced beyond doubt that the throne of Evo Kingdom is in a secure hand and the Crown is on an anointed head.
Through the years on the throne, our king has demonstrated the natural inheritance of Evo man which is humility, resilience, commitment and doggedness.
Oh sons and daughters of Evo Kingdom, swim swim swim for the rivers are filled with fishes given to us my nature. Dip dip dip oh ye my people, dip your ekette and spead your nets into the river for your daily bread is assured. Rumu-wenem bosaama eli, kpasi iji, kpasi ekainima ,ede, onaa nu okwokwo weri, Chiokike gozilam eli Evo and there shall be food in all your households. Says the king.
An ardent believer in hard work, he encourages all to sweat for food. In his view, the desire to see his people building an economic base through hard work is one of the cardinal reason he is a king.
As our king reign continues to be blissful and glorious, my prayer is may the Almighty God sustain him and may the crown endure on his head for many years to come.
Evo Kingdom: One King, One People, One Destiny.
Long live Evo Kingdom.
Long live His Royal Majesty.
