Four escape death as helicopter crashes in Lagos

Four people narrowly escaped death on Tuesday after a helicopter crashed into a building at Oba Akran area of Ikeja, in Lagos State.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at 3:30 pm adjacent the AP Filling Station, and United Bank For Africa, UBA, complexes in the area.

The aircraft burst into flames near Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), its destination. The pilot was reportedly rescued.

There is however, no information on whether or not there were other passengers on board.

Officials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services were on ground to provide rescue Services.
