There was pandemonium at the Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa, in Rivers State, due to fire outbreak which occcured on the runway on Saturday, January 4, 2020.
Africa Update gathered that flight activities were disrupted by the incident, preventing the evening flight of Max Air from taking off, while an Arik Air had to return to base, a Dana flight from Abuja to Port Harcourt, had to return back to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
It is however, unclear what caused the fire as at the time of filing this report.
