The Amanyanabo of the Source, Alhaji Mujahid Abubakr Dokubo-Asari, popularly known as Dabaye-Amakiri I, has paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, at his residence in Port Harcourt.
The visit, which took place on Tuesday, provided an opportunity for the traditional ruler to formally invite Wike to his forthcoming coronation.
During the meeting, Dokubo-Asari and the former Rivers State governor engaged in discussions centred on the importance of dialogue, mutual respect and cooperation among stakeholders in the Niger Delta.
The Amanyanabo, accompanied by members of the main organising ccommittee for the coronation ceremony, expressed appreciation to Wike for the warm reception accorded him during the visit and wished the FCT Minister continued success in his national service.
Africa Update reports that the courtesy visit comes ahead of the traditional ruler’s upcoming coronation, which is expected to bring together traditional rulers, political leaders and other prominent stakeholders from across the Niger Delta.
