Nominations have opened for the 8th edition of the Trendsetters Awards, with more than 80 categories available for members of the public to nominate individuals and organisations they consider deserving of recognition.
The brain behind the event, Dr Gloria Boma Harry, disclosed this while speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt, saying the categories cut across several fields, including politics, business and commerce, Nollywood, law, healthcare, media and academia, among others.
She said the nomination portal, https://trendsetters.africaupdatenewspaper.info/nominations, would remain open until October 14, 2026, after which the nomination stage would close and public voting would commence immediately. This means members of the public can nominate their preferred individuals or organisations during the current nomination period, while voting for nominees will begin after nominations close.
Harry urged members of the public to take part in the process by nominating individuals and organisations whose achievements and contributions to society merit recognition.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for November 4, 2026, when winners emerging from the voting process will be recognised. The Trendsetters Awards celebrates individuals and organisations across various sectors for outstanding contributions and impact on society.
