…wishes newly appointed Deputy Commanders well
The NDLEA Rivers State Commander CN Ahmed Mamuda has lauded the swift response of the Nigeria Police, NDLEA, the military, DSS, NSCDC and other Sister Security Agencies in maintenance of Peace, law and order during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections in Rivers State.
Comdr Mamuda stated this while briefing Principal Officers of Rivers State Command during the Command’s monthly meeting on Tuesday 28th February 2023, at the Rivers State Command Headquarters in Port Harcourt. He also re-iterated the need for adequate logistics provisions to enhance swift response of personnel, most especially in areas where distruption of electoral process and violence were foreseen as this would boost the morale of voters who are committed to casting their ballots while relying on adequate security provisions to enhance the peaceful conduct of the elections.
He further commended the collaborations and effective intervention of Joint Election Monitoring Team led by the Nigeria Army, who came out en masse and in full regalia to monitor the elections.
He also lauded officers and men of NDLEA Rivers State Command deployed to various Polling Units, Collation Centers and those on patrol, particularly the Task Force Team led by CSN Bala Abdullahi who was also highly commended by the Garrison Commander, 6 Division, Nigerian Army as they were all in excellent uniform apparels and also conducted themselves in an exceptional, professional and admirable manner during the combine Inter-Agency SHOW OF FORCE on Friday 24th, and election day on Saturday 25th.
He urged officers and men of the Command to replicate the same professional feat in the upcoming 11th March Governorship Elections in Rivers State.
High point of the meeting was the show of emotion displayed by all the officers present during the Commander’s closing remarks when he expressed appreciation to the four Deputy Commander of Narcotics who were given appointments and transferred to other Commands.
They are DCN Barth Aigbirere, appointed Deputy Area Commander MMIA, DCN Ejiko Emmanuel, appointed Deputy State Commander Edo State Command, DCN Ngozi Okoroji, appointed Deputy Commander O&T, Imo State Command and DCN Nurudeen Adedoyin, appointed Deputy Commander O&T, Akwa Ibom State Command. He wished them well and urged them to exhibit same positive behaviour in their new Command as he looks forward to working with them again whenever fate permits.
