Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has sworn in, five Commissioners-Designate at the Executive Council Chamber of Government House, Port Harcourt, on Saturday, 9th July, 2022.
The new Commissioners, whose names were given as Hon. Deinma Iyalla, Prof. Prince Chinedu Mmom, Hon. Boma Iyaye, Hon..Chris Green and Surv. Burabe Anea-Bari Donald, were also assigned portfolios.
Information made available to Africa Update indicates that Iyaye, who is the immediate past Commissioner of Sports, will now oversee the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Iyala was assigned the Ministry of Special project, while Bari Donald will be in charge of the Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs.
Prof. Mmom was assigned the Ministry of Education, and Green took over from Iyaye to become the Commissioner of Sports.
