Farah Dagogo finally secures bail

Farah Dagogo, a member of the House of Representatives, has finally secured bail after several months of incarceration at the Port Harcourt Correctional Center, following his arrest and arraignment before the High Court on two count charge of conspiracy and cultism.

The Lawmaker representing Degema-Bonny Federal Constituency, was arrested by security operatives on the orders of the Rivers State Government, at the venue of the Governorship screening for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Trial Judge, Justice Chinwendu  Nworgu  in his ruling on the bail application by defendant counsel Cosmos  Eenweluzo granted the defendant bail with the sum of twenty million naira with one surety, who must deposit a Passport Photograph alongside the defendant.

The Judge noted that the surety must be an indigene of Rivers State who owns a landed property within Port Harcourt City Local Government Area valued not less than twenty million naira.

The Judge further directed the defendant to deposit his international passport with the Court, stressing that the defendant can not travel overseas without the permission of the Court.
