The quest to provide mentorship and Developmental framework for the youths in Kalabari Kingdom has propelled some professionals and technocrats from Obuama Community (Harry’s Town), in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State to organise the first edition of Obuama Community Development Summit.
The 3-day summit billed to start today, aims to identify the challenges bedeviling the Community and develop a Developmental framework for the Community.This was disclosed to Africa Update by the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Mr. Cyril Massey Harry.
He said the summit, which is the first of its kind in Kalabari Kingdom, will foster intellectual and human capital development, in a bid to provide mentorship for the next generation. He further noted that the highpoint of the summit will be the creation of channels of empowerment with Government Agencies and financial institutions
