A new Sector Commander has been posted to Rivers State, according to a statement made available to Africa Update. The statement signed by the Route Commander Sector Public Education Officer RS6.1, Rivers Sector Command Michael S. John, on June 17, reads: Following the recent promotion of senior officers in the Federal Road Safety Corps, movement and posting of these officers become imperative. It is in this regard that we wish to inform the general public of the appointment of Corps Commander Salisu Umar Galadunci as the new Sector Commander, Rivers State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps. Corps Commander Salisu Umar Galadunci was until his promotion and posting, Deputy Corps Commander Operations Kaduna State Sector Command. Before his deployment to Kaduna as Deputy Corps Commander Operations he was the Unit Commander Badagry Unit Command Lagos State Corps Commander Salisu Galadunci holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hausa and Islamic Studies from Bayero University Kano and Masters Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State. He is a recipient of the Corps Marshal’s Road Safety Service Star Medal. Corps Commander Salisu Galadunci has represented the Corps Marshal as member Lagos State Transport Submit and has represented the FRSC in the Economic Community of West Africa State’s (ECOWAS) Committee on Trade and Transport Facilitation. He also had served as member Committee on the Coronation of Nigeria@50 FCT Abuja Corps Commander Salisu Umar Galadunci is taking over from David Mendie who was promoted to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) and has commenced his terminal leave.
