The corpse of a man identified as Samuel Aleke, who went missing on Saturday, May 23, has been found inside the trunk of a car owned by his brother and lawmaker representing Ebonyi North West in the State House of Assembly, Victor Aleke.
According to a relative of the family, the deceased a middle-aged man, who resides along Chinedu Ogah avenue had informed his wife that he was going to collect earpiece from a friend.
The wife had raised alarm, when her husband did not return home several hours after his departure and all attempts to reach him failed.
Friends and relatives had commenced a search for him and his corpse was eventually found on Sunday, May 24, inside the trunk of his brother’s car along Nkwagu axis of Abakaliki/Afikpo express road.with wounds on his face and back which suggest that he might have been beaten and strangled to death by his unknown assailants.
Police Spokesman, DSP Loveth Odah confirmed the incident and noted that the deceased’s corpse was recovered by the police along Nkwagu axis along Abakaliki/Afikpo express road.
