Women surveyors in Nigeria have advised students to ask the right questions before choosing a course of study.The coordinator of the Rivers state chapter of women in surveying, Mrs Itekena Akpana, stated this during a career talk at the Niger Delta Science School at the Captain Elechi Amadi polytechnic.Itekena Akpana said proper mentoring and guardiance will enable students make the right career choice before entering into higher institutions.They encouraged them to consciously choose surveying as a profession and not to stumble into surveying when there is no other option.The deputy director , Niger Delta science school, Uzor Chinedu, while commending them for the initiative, said the career talk will enable students develop interest in professional courses.
