The Governorship ambition of Senator Magnus Abe suffered great setback today, when the Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt struck out an appeal brought before it.
In a unanimous decision, the Court struck out the appeal by Abe and 42 others seeking to be declared as candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.
Delivering the unanimous judgment, the presiding judge, Justice Bitrus Sanga, described Abe’s appeal as an ‘academic exercise’ and lacking in merit.
