… Pledges mobilizing over 6,000 members through her NGO
Ahead of the 2019 General elections, the Wife of the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Dame Judith Amaechi has declared support for the ongoing mobilization of new members across the state by NGOs, initiated by the South South Zonal Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, David Okumgba.
During a familiarization visit to the south south zonal Secretariat in Rivers State, on December 19, Dame Amaechi, eulogized Okumgba for the laudable initiative to coordinate the activities of NGOs, as this will garner support for the party in the State.
She expressed her willingness to support the mobilization efforts by using her NGO to mobilize over 6,000 new members for the party, before the elections.
Offering prayers for the success of APC in all elections across the country, zone and State Dame Judith assured okumgba of her commitment towards the actualisation of the ongoing mobilization program.
Earlier, Okumgba briefed Dame Amaechi of the monumental achievement recorded just two weeks after the commencement of the mobilization exercise.
He noted that the coordination of the activities of NGOs will result in the victory of the party in 2019.
Stressing that with the mobilization of over 5,000 new members within a few weeks, the number will increase significantly before the 2019 general elections, going by the zeal exhibited by the NGOs.
He reiterated that with the blueprint behind the initiative, APC can go to sleep knowing that the elections have been won.
Okumgba expressed gratitude to the South South APC leader, Chibuike Amaechi, for keying into this initiative which was conceived by him, (Okumgba) and the first of its kind which he intends to replicate in other states of the zone.
