The Rivers state police command has called on residents of the state to assist it with relevant information to enable it protect lives and properties in the state.
The commissioner of police, Zarki Ahmed made the call during the 2018 Security Summit and National Executive Council meeting organized by State Police Community Relations Committee in Port Harcourt.
Zarki Ahmed also called on stakeholders to work in synergy with security agencies to combat criminality in the state.
The National Chairman of Police Community Relations Committee(PCRC) Dr. Faruk Maiyama said the committee is ready to assist security agencies in the fight against criminality in Rivers state.
In the same light, the state chairman of PCRC, Pascal appealed to all residents of the state to shun all acts of provocation and and live peacefully with each other.
The summit was attended by traditional rulers, stakeholders and security agencies within and outside the state.
