We Are Ready, Wike Must Go – Ameachi

The Minister of Transportation and former governor of Rivers state, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, during the All Progressive Congress rally at Rumeme Civic centre in Obio Akpor Local Government Area, on September 16, accused his successor Governor, Nyesom Wike of impoverishing the people of the State and allegedly diverting over 117billion Naira for personal and political associates.

He called on the four government officials of the state declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to come out and explain how 117billion Naira was disbursed.

The minister also accused Governor Wike of sponsoring some members of APC in the state in an attempt to disintegrate the party. ”I have come out to let the party and the country know that we are ready for election and all those disturbing the party under Wike’s sponsorship will be ignored because Wike must go’, Ameachi said.

Reacting to the Minister of Transportation’s assertion, the Rivers state government through the state’s commissioner of information and communication, Emma Okah, has denied sponsoring any member of the APC in Rivers state to cause crisis within the party as alleged by the former governor of the state.
