The Chairman of Independent Newspaper Publishers Association of Rivers State, RIVPA, Gloria Boma Harry, has resigned.
Part of Harry’s resignation note reads, ‘Good evening colleagues I want to resign as chairman of RIVPA and also withdraw my membership. I have thought through it and believe that this is in the best interest of members who have been deprived of perceived benefits because the Soul of RIVPA has been kept away from those who are hungry for it.
‘I want to express my sincere appreciation to everyone especially members of exco who have kept faith in spite of obvious challenges.
‘To leaders on this platform I am grateful for this opportunity to lead this great RIVPA.
