The Rivers State Police Command has warned youth groups in the Niger Delta against any form of disorder that will breach the peace of the state.
The police public relations officer, Nnamdi Omoni, made this known recently, following threats by two youth groups, to embark on protest over an alleged misuse of five hundred million naira by the management of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Mr Omoni, warned that the police command will enforce the law if any form of protest capable of causing breakdown of law and order in the society, is embarked upon.
He advised the youths to resist any attempts by politicians to disrupt the peace in the state and reiterated that the State Police Commissioner, Zaki Ahmed, has given strict orders in the sustenance of peace.
