Chief Barrister Dumo Lulu-Briggs has lauded the entire membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area for turning out en masse during Saturday’s Local Government Congress for election of delegates to the forthcoming non-elective National Convention of the party.
Speaking in Abonnema, headquarters of Akuku-Toru LGA soon after he was unanimously elected alongside two others as national delegates, Lulu-Briggs praised the leadership of the APC in Rivers State and the congress officials for conducting a congress devoid of hitches.
The accomplished businessman and top grassroots politician commended the indefatigable leader of the party and Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his exemplary leadership in ensuring mass participation in the affairs of the party.
He encouraged the crowd to stay united, maintain their support for the APC in Rivers and vote out the PDP in 2019. He urged party members, particularly the youths to continue to conduct themselves peacefully.
Dumo Lulu-Briggs lamented the current state of affairs in the state, saying that “Rivers State that was once the envy of all Nigerians on account of its peaceful ambience, beautiful/high culture and general wellbeing, has lost its glory”. He promised that the APC shall stem the drifting and restore the pride, dignity and happiness of Rivers people.
