Facebook acquired his company in 2014 for 19 billion dollars and he left FB last year.

Acton recently announced 50 million dollars investment in secure messaging app Signal and according to CNN deleting Facebook may not be a viable option for some but those who want to detach themselves from the FB would need to delete other apps that the companies owns too including Whatsapp and Instagram.
The CNN reported that “Signal is a secure alternative for people who opt to leave whatsapp.
Facebook has come under severe criticism recently in the US and the UK over its data privacy practices and it has taken financial hit too.
The company has lost 50 billion dollars in market value this week.
The “delete Facebook” movement intensified after massive data scraping scandal in which a data firm “Cambridge Analytica harvested information on 50 million Facebook users without their knowledge.
