The Deputy Governor of Rivers State Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has felicitated with the State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for bagging the Power of Sports Award in Brussels, Belgium
In a Statement from the Government House in Port Harcourt, Dr. Banigo expressed delight that Governor Wike’s contributions to the development of Sports in the continent have been recognized by the International Sports Press Association Africa (AIPS).
“It is gratifying to note that our amiable Governor is the first recipient of this prestigious award in Africa which is a demonstration that his selfless service to the Rivers People is being noticed outside the shores of Nigeria” She stressed.
Dr. Banigo who expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for the transformation the State has witnessed under the watch of the Governor, prayed for God to give him more wisdom to pilot the affairs of the State.
