Gabriel Eze, 56, has allegedly crushed his passenger in his Abuja bound coaster bus to death at Ojota.
The suspect and his motor boy, Okwudili Odo, have been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba, on Monday, by officers at Ogudu Police station when he went to confess the crime to the police.
It was gathered that trouble purportedly began at about 11:00pm at the Bonny Way Transport Office in Jibowu where two passengers fought over sitting positions. Eyewitness revealed that the deceased had unlawfully occupied a seat which another passenger allegedly had valid ticket for.
The argument reportedly lingered till the bus got to Ojota, prompting the driver to park in order to settle the dispute, but all efforts to get the man without ticket off the seat for the other passenger failed, and the driver and his motor boy allegedly pushed the man off the bus before crushing him to death.
