Two months after swearing in 13 Commissioners, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has forwarded nine Commissioner nominees to the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The Commissioner-nominees include, Barrister Eloka Taise-Amadi, Hon. Boma Iyaye, Hon. Diamete Herbert-Miller, Tonye Oniyinde, Dr Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja, Dr Igbiks Tamuno, Hon Emeka Onowu, Prof Chike Princewill and Mr Ohia Prince.
A statement signed by the Clerk of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Mr. Stanford Oba, stated that the nominees are expected to appear before the House for screening and confirmation tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
The statement enjoined the nominees to submit 40 copies of their credentials including tax clearance certificates to the Office of the Clerk, Room 031, House of Assembly Complex Port Harcourt, as well as come along with the original copies.
Apart from Tamuno and Ohia, the rest of the nominees served as Commissioners during the first term of Governor Wike.
