Mgbuosimini attack: Wike vows to apprehend gunmen

Following the gruesome murder of about 15 people by unknown gunmen at Mgbuosimini community at Obio/akpor local government area in Rivers State yesterday, the Governor,  Nyesom Wike, has paid a condolence visit to families of the deceased.

Governor Wike who was accompanied by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Zaki Ahmed and all the Service Chiefs in the  State, described the Incident as “Unfortunate”.

He called for peace and assured residents that security agents would commence investigation and apprehend the culprits.

Wike further stated that construction of the road leading to the waterway had been awarded and a police station would also be built at the waterfront.

The gunmen were said to have invaded the community  through Waterways .
