Fubara, Wike, others attend Lady Ohuabunwa’s funeral in Aba

Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on Friday joined the immediate past governor of the state and Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike to attend the funeral service in honour of late Lady (Barr.) Mrs. Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa, the wife of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa

The service which held at the Cathedral of All Saints, Ugwuavo, Church of Nigeria, (Anglican Communion) Diocese of Arochukwu/Ohafia, Abia State had other dignitaries in their entourage to include Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, former governor of Abia State, Amb. Desmond Akawor, Chairman Rivers State PDP, Hon. Felix Nwaeke, member, House of Representatives amongst others.

Speaking on the subject of faith, the officiating Minister, the Most Revd. Dr Henry Ndukuba, Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of All Nigeria said it is important for the living to keep their faith intact and believe in the power of God.

Taking his bible reading from the book of second Corinthians chapter 4 verse 12-18, Revd Ndukuba enjoined christians not to dispair but have the assurance of God’s consolation in time of mourning charging the chief mourner Sen. Ohuabunwa to be strong and hope in God for succour, stressing that his wife only returned to the creator for rest with the hope of resurrection on the last day.

Governor Fubara and the Minister of FCT, Chief. Barr Wike later paid a condolence visit to Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa at his country home.
